Dr. Jia's Bio

Judy Jia, MD is a board-certified vascular neurologist with more than 11 years of experience in neurology. Originally from Houston, Texas she completed her undergraduate studies at Rice University and received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 2010. Dr. Jia completed her residency training in neurology at University of Pennsylvania, followed by vascular neurology “Stroke” fellowship training at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

 

She was previously an Assistant Professor of Neurology at UPenn and has served as medical director of stroke programs at Pennsylvania Hospital and at a medical center within Baylor Scott & White Health System. Dr. Jia currently practices as an independent stroke neurologist in San Francisco, CA and in 2021, she joined Current Neurology Solutions in Pearland, Texas as an inpatient tele-neurology service provider. She is affiliated with multiple hospitals within the Memorial Hermann Health System.

 

Dr. Jia’s passion is providing innovative and conscientious stroke care. She combines her expertise with leading technology and compassion to deliver exceptional care for an array of neurological conditions. Dr. Jia’s clinical interest include stroke, transient ischemic attack, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracranial atherosclerosis, small vessel disease, telemedicine, and pre-hospital stroke care. She enjoys spending time outdoors with husband, daughter, and fur baby Kona, trying new restaurants, and exercising on her Peloton.
