Dr. Wu's Bio
Dr. Teddy Wu is originally from Maryland where he obtained his medical degree at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He completed his residency in neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, followed by a 2 year fellowship in vascular neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. After completion of his stroke fellowship, he joined the faculty and served as the Teleneurology Director at UTHealth for 10 years. He grew the teleneurology program to become one of the largest academic teleneurology programs in the country, and has trained over 50 vascular neurology fellows in teleneurology/telestroke.
Dr. Wu is dedicated to the use of technology to help expand access to neurological expertise, especially in underserved populations. Dr. Wu lives in Houston with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include cooking, watching movies, and exercise.
