Dr. Nguyen's Bio

Claude Nguyen, MD is a board-certified Vascular Neurologist with more than 14 years of diverse experience. Dr. Nguyen graduated from Medical College of Wisconsin in 2007 and went on to complete an Internal Medicine internship at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York. He completed his Neurology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn New York, where also served as Chief Resident.  He then completed a two-year vascular neurology fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.  

   

Before joining Current Neurology Solutions, Dr. Nguyen was on staff at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.  Prior to this, he was on faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as Medical Director of Stroke at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center through its expansion into a Level I Trauma Center. While at Penn, he also completed a Master’s in Medical Education. Dr. Nguyen has also served at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, Texas, where he was Director of the Telestroke program, expanding telemedicine to rural and remote centers with high need.   He is currently CNS's director of clinical informatics. 

   

Having grown up in Silicon Valley, Dr. Nguyen is passionate about technology and finding ways to integrating novel technologies into stroke care, telemedicine, and building of stroke systems. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, daughter, and beagle mix.
